Stefen Turner is a New York City based aerial photographer and mixed-media artist providing clients such as advertising agencies, publishers, corporations, and architectural firms with richly detailed and dramatic compositions from a unique perspective that only helicopters can provide. The level of quality we provide simply can not be accomplished with drones.

Capturing exceptional architectural & landscape detail: Our forte is photographing from very low and close-in in order to capture architectural and landscape details.

Our truly "bird's-eye" perspective provides exceptional aesthetics compared with higher shooting angles of typical aerial photography, or the lower angles of a typical drone shot. Compare our portfolio to other photographers' who shoot aerials and the difference is obvious.

Aerial photography over New York City: Our forte is photographing "low & close-in" aerials over densely populated and highly restricted airspaces such as New York City. Our pilots have the exceptional skills and reputation to gain waivers from authorities for low altitude flight over places like New York City, and Washington DC.

For architects and real estate developers who want to capture the design essence of their project, we do it better than anyone!

Important note about drones: Drones are strictly prohibited for recreational or commercial use within the confines of New York City. If a drone operator tells you otherwise, you should research this for yourself. As the assigning client, you could also be held liable for violating these local ordinances.

About Image quality: In aerial photography, image quality is EVERYTHING! Even for a professional ground-based photographer, shooting aerials is extremely challenging requiring years of experience and highly specialized equipment to do it well. Aerial photography is our specialty and we are totally focused on that and nothing else.

About our camera systems: We use a Hasselblad 100 megapixel camera, and a Nikon 45 megapixel camera, along with the highest grade lenses. More important than the high resolution of these cameras is their exceptional dynamic range.

Capturing detail in extreme highlights and extreme shadows in essential in aerial photography, along with the ability to photography under extremely low light conditions. These two cameras handle it in an exceptional way, and again, you can see the difference in our images, compared to images shot on lesser camera systems.

Not all aerial photography is the same: One picture is worth a thousand words so I urge you to compare our aerial photography to others' and see the obvious difference for yourself.
